Work In Progress
Here you will find what I'm working on RIGHT NOW (and NO, I'm not putting a webcam in the Smithy...), but rather the fun/interesting/different and large scale projects that you might find interesting. It also gives me a place to post pictures for people waiting for their stuff...

This is a Dragon-themed fireplace set I started building, and have put aside while working on customer work. The basic idea is of that of an iron dragon unfurling copper wings to reveal the tools, headed as baby dragons...
The shovel repeats the wing motif, also in copper, the tongs are "tails" which form  the grips, and the poker a claw-like form. The broom will be plainer, but handmade by a broom-maker friend. All tools will have small dragon heads that will hang from the wings, facing out.

$700 to start.

Additional pieces might include a bellows, but this has yet to be designed, and will be an "extra cost option", as I don't nomally make these, and have no idea how long it will take.
Armoured Arms Wall Sconces
Arms holding torches, which will have real flame (a'la TIKI torch)
Actual armour rendered into this decoration, wrapping around an armature (hidden also behind strategically placed chainmaille clad covers), the arms had to be made flexible like armour, and actually hinge and latch closed. The torches are tapered pipe which will hold lamp oil, and the burners will have to be custom made.
More pics forthcoming, as I have to install the maille coverings over the fingers and take pictures of the accompanying leading edge of a helmet, also made to appear as though coming through a wall.
This project combines skills well within my traditional disciplines of welding and fabrication, as well as the armourer's art.
Minimal Blacksmithing is evident, though the torches have a lot of work in them!
Total time is approaching 100 hours, though I'd do it all again for  the right price, figure roughly

$1200
Fully rendered claw
Dragon Door Knocker
Iron Body, Copper Wings, Brass Horns and Teeth.
I may even add more spikes.
The Ouroboros is the knocker, and will get wings as well, in the form of winglets ( flightless baby, afterall)
18" tall, but the tail will wrap, making it less than 14" overall length.
No welds, all riveted and forged construction. Some brazing might be used (undecided).

$1400
